Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, Representative of the youth of Andhra Pradesh, is an industrialist who has built businesses and created jobs in the faction-ridden region of Kadapa District. His work has changed society, helping the poor and unemployed and improving quality of life for everyone. As a businessman and Member of the Parliament he has been a champion for people who, until now, had no one to speak on their behalf.
Biography :
Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy was born on December 21, 1972 in Pulivendula village of Kadapa District, Andhra Pradesh. He is the son of former honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Late Mr. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.
Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy is a businessman who sets up companies in remote areas to create opportunities in villages, providing employment and thereby improving the lifestyles of the communities. He is considered the leader of youth in Andhra Pradesh.
Education :
Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy received his early education from Pulivendula and later obtained his Master’s Degree in Business Administration. While in college, he took active part in sports, excelled in Cricket and won several shields at various Inter-collegiate tournaments.
Professional Career :
Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy founded the daily Telugu Newspaper Sakshi http://www.sakshi.com and Sakshi 24 hrs Telugu News Channel. He was instrumental in attracting many other businesses across India.
Social and Cultural Activities :
Throughout his public life, Jagan has worked actively for the welfare of women and children and the underprivileged sections of society. There are many fan clubs and Yuva Senas in his name in Andhra Pradesh. People are carrying forward his good works because his image is stamped in the hearts of the people for his over 15 years of dedicated and selfless service in improving quality of life in Andhra Pradesh.
He is the inspiration for many people in the region of Kadapa. In a joint venture with National Academy of Construction, he has set up Kadapa Technical Training Institute (KTTI). This enabled many poor youth to receive training and gain employment in top notch companies. Through Y.S.Rajareddy foundation he has been working for the empowerment of women.
Political Career :
Driven by his passion to serve the poor, and inspired by his father and the then Prime Minister Mr.Rajiv Gandhi, Jagan joined active politics in 2009. From then onwards he continued working for the people. Earlier, many times people requested him to contest elections but he rejected the idea, saying it is not necessary to be an MLA or MP to serve the people.
He strongly believes that rapid industrialization, infrastructure development, job creation and other areas of sustainable development are key to improving the overall standard of living and quality of life. His work has inspired many other people to begin social initiatives to improve quality of life.
Sri. Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy contested from Kadapa Lok Sabha Constituency and won with 1.78 lakhs votes against immediate opponent Mr. Palem Srikanth Reddy of TDP.
Now it is our duty to see that Jagan wins with an even larger majority to make a point to the so-called Congress High Command.
